The HIMNCH & Data Project of Myanmar Maternal and Child Welfare Association conducted the MNCH & Data for Volunteers Training in Myitkyina, Kachin State on February 21 and 22, 2026.
At the opening ceremony, the President of MMCWA (Central), Professor Dr. San San Myint Aung, delivered an opening speech. The President and the Central Executive Committee members of MMCWA(Central), the Patron, President and members of the Kachin State Maternal and Child Welfare Supervisory Committee, the President and members of the  District Maternal and Child Welfare Supervisory Committees , and President and members of the Myitkyina Township Maternal and Child Welfare Associations attended the opening ceremony. The MMCWA (Central) President and Executive Committee Members provided Samsaung Mobile Phone for the volunteers.
Continued, the Secretary of MMCWA (Central), Dr. Nwe Ni Ohn and team delivered the training and (31) volunteers from Myitkyina Township attended the training.
Then, the MMCWA (Central) President and Central Executive Committee Members and the Patron, President and members of the Kachin State Maternal and Child Welfare Supervisory Committee visited visited the township MCWA’ maternity home and Preschool in Myitkyina Township, provide nutrition to pregnant mothers, and then inspect the delivery room and provide guidance on what is needed. Then, they continued to visit the Myitkyina Township Preschool and provided school uniforms for the students.
Next, Next, the President and the central executive committee members of MMCWA (Central) provided Ks(5,000,000/-) to renovate the Putao township MCWA’ maternity Home and provided Ks(400,000/-) to purchase medicines and medical equipment for the Myitkyina township MCWA’ Maternity home.
